About the role
We’re looking for an energetic Barista to join our crew at James Curaçao, located in the heart of Pietermaai.
At James, we’re more than a restaurant, we’re a hidden gem surrounded by greenery, where good food, people and island energy come together. We welcome locals, hotel guests and visitors from all over the world who come to enjoy breakfast, lunch or simply the relaxed James experience. What you’ll do
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and drinks.
• Create and rotate seasonal specials (coffees, teas, mocktails etc.).
• Test, taste and experiment with new recipes and flavor combos.
• Take orders, serve guests and make them feel welcome.
• Keep the bar and service area clean, organized and fully stocked.
• Support the team on the floor on busy shifts.
• Assist during private events and corporate lunches.
• Deliver service that’s fast, friendly and full of personality.
Who you are
• Experience as a barista and in the hospitality sector.
• Curious and creative, you like to try new things and improve.
• A positive, flexible and guest-focused attitude.
• A true team player who stays calm during busy moments.
• Good communication skills, you speak English and Dutch, Papiamentu or Spanish is a plus.
• You enjoy connecting with people and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
